Embassy of Luxembourg Job Vacancy 2025 – Accounting & Administrative Assistant
The Embassy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia is inviting qualified candidates to apply for the position of Accounting and Administrative Assistant (m/f). This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) with an immediate start date.

Key Requirements:
- Successful completion of secondary education (or equivalent) or higher.
- Fluency in English and Amharic (spoken and written).
- Intermediate knowledge of French (fluency is an added advantage).
- Proven experience in budgeting and accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Flexibility, resilience, and ability to handle challenging situations.
- High sense of responsibility and discretion.
- Team player with a proactive and dynamic attitude.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage daily secretarial and accounting operations using Microsoft Excel.
- Oversee Embassy schedules, official correspondence, and communications.
- Liaise with Embassies, UN agencies, and the African Union to coordinate meetings and events.
- Maintain proper archiving of all official documents.
- Manage accounting transactions, Embassy liquidities, and ensure accurate calculations and data entries.
- Oversee payment transactions and maintenance contracts for expatriate residences.
- Support the organization of official visits and Embassy events.
- Assist staff with administrative processes (e.g., diplomatic ID, driver’s license).
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Head and Deputy Head of Mission.

- The employment contract and salary are governed by Ethiopian labor laws.
