An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified professional to join the Dire Dawa Plant team as Team Leader Fleet. The role will report directly to the Depot Manager and will focus on supervising the fleet team and managing vehicle maintenance operations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure that maintenance quality standards and timelines are met.
- Implement EABSC systems such as TCCQS and EXIM.
- Identify and propose solutions for fleet image problems.
- Apply cost-minimizing strategies for maintenance.
- Ensure all fleet vehicles meet company image standards.
- Complete weekly inspection lists and daily maintenance reports.
- Maintain mechanic checklists and submit reports.
- Stay updated on new fleet technology advancements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper use of protective clothing.
- Record all maintenance activities, observations, and discrepancies.
- Perform minor welding and electrical maintenance as required.
- Manage spare parts inventory for both fast-moving and slow-moving items.
- Provide feedback on technical and image-related issues.
- Lead the shift in the absence of the team leader.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Skills, Experience & Education
Education:
- First Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Industrial Engineering (or related fields).
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience, including 1 year in a supervisory position.
- Hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance management.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
