About ILRI
The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) works to improve food and nutrition security and reduce poverty in developing countries through research for efficient, safe, and sustainable use of livestock.
ILRI’s Liaison and Protocol Unit in Addis Ababa is embarking on a project to digitize legacy files and improve its data management systems. This internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in documentation management, organization, and record-keeping while contributing to efficiency and compliance in operations.
Position: Liaison & Protocol Unit Intern
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation, organization, and maintenance of physical and digital records
- Support documentation digitization efforts
- Enhance retrieval and accessibility of documentation
- Ensure compliance in document handling procedures
- Work under the guidance of the Liaison & Protocol Manager
Eligibility Criteria:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program or recently completed studies in International Relations, Law, Political Science, Business Administration, or related fields
- Strong ICT knowledge (operation of photocopiers, scanners, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong written and spoken English skills
