Applications are now open for the Charles Darwin University RTP Scholarship 2026, a prestigious fully funded award for both domestic and international students. This scholarship is funded by the Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) and is designed to support outstanding students pursuing Master’s or Doctoral (PhD) research degrees at CDU.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the CDU RTP Scholarship 2026, applicants must meet the following requirements:
For Master’s by Research:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree with first or second-class honours from a recognized institution.
For PhD by Research:
- Demonstrate research capability through:
- A Bachelor’s degree with first or upper second-class honours, or
- A Master’s degree with a significant research component, or
- An equivalent research qualification.
Applicants must also meet English language proficiency requirements (IELTS/TOEFL if applicable).

- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree certificates and transcripts
- Two letters of recommendation
- Research proposal
- CV/Resume
- Supervisor acceptance letter
- IELTS/TOEFL score (if applicable)
- Academic thesis or publications (for PhD applicants)
How to Apply
There is no separate scholarship application. Candidates are automatically considered when they apply for admission to a research degree program at CDU.

- Select your desired Master’s or PhD by Research program.
- Obtain supervisor acceptance.
- Apply online through the CDU admissions portal.
- Eligible applicants will be evaluated for RTP Scholarship consideration.
