Internship Overview

UNDP is offering a 6-month internship under its Governance and Rule of Law portfolio. This opportunity is ideal for fresh graduates and postgraduate students passionate about governance, peacebuilding, and development work.

Eligibility Criteria

Education:

  • Enrolled in a postgraduate degree (Master’s or higher) OR
  • Recently graduated (within one year) with a Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in:
    • Governance
    • Peace and Security
    • Political Science
    • Sociology
    • Public Policy
    • Law
    • Human Rights
    • Development Studies
    • Related Social Sciences

Experience:

  • No professional work experience is required.
  • Strong interest in local/international governance, peacebuilding, and rule of law is essential.

Desired Skills and Attributes

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong editing, copywriting, and proofreading abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Background in communications or public relations is a plus
  • Fluency in English required; knowledge of French is desirable
