The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI) offers a wide range of scholarships each year to attract outstanding students from Qatar and abroad. Scholarships are awarded either on the basis of merit and academic excellence or financial need, supporting both Master’s and Doctoral programs.

Master’s Scholarships
1) Tamim Scholarship
- Based on merit and academic excellence
- Open to Qatari students, residents in Qatar, and international students from the Arab world
- Benefits:
- Full tuition fee coverage
- Free accommodation in institute dormitories (for international students outside Qatar)
- Monthly stipend
- Health insurance
2) Sanad Scholarship
- Based on financial need
- Open to Qatari, residents in Qatar, and international students
- Benefits:
- Partial or full tuition fee coverage (10% – 100%)
- For international students outside Qatar: full tuition coverage, free accommodation, monthly stipend, and health insurance
Doctoral Scholarships
1) First Phase Scholarship
- Granted to admitted students who cannot afford doctoral tuition
- Covers two semesters to complete required coursework
2) Second Phase Scholarship (Prospectus)
- Awarded to students with GPA 3.5 or higher in the first phase
- Covers one academic year of full-time prospectus study
3) Third Phase Scholarship (Dissertation)
- Granted after successful completion of the prospectus phase and passing the comprehensive exam
- Covers two academic years (with possible extension upon approval)
Terms & Conditions
- Students cannot benefit from more than one DI scholarship at the same time
- Scholarship holders must commit to working at the Institute (research, teaching, or related areas) for 10 hours per week (full scholarship) or proportionally (partial scholarship, max 15 hours/week)
- Continuation of the scholarship is subject to fulfilling these obligations
How to Apply
- All admitted students are eligible to apply for scholarships
- The Admissions Office will send the scholarship application form to eligible students
- Applicants must submit the completed form along with all official and required documents
